Institutional Collapse — series description
Institutional Collapse is a five-painting series examining how financial, legislative, executive, and judicial power in America have been captured by private money operating under cover of public concern. Each painting indicts a specific institution; together they expose a single closed system — one built to survive its own catastrophes rather than be undone by them.
Con-trails (Executive), mixed media, 2026. 30x24in
A menacing figure sits unflinching — redacted text on one side, hands with tv remotes on the other. Void of personal character, concerned only with self-preservation and enrichment at any cost. Epstein looms as a ghostly spectre of past deeds above. His world is messy with past ties that bind, so he turns himself into a minute-by-minute deflection machine. Past deeds materialize into something atrocious, hellbent on a gargantuan costly distraction.
Supreme Cult (Judicial), mixed media, 2026. 24x36in
Sitting in customary repose, the Judiciary postures toward stately, distinguished legal authority. Instead, the lopsided court reads as theocratic cult — precedent and constitutional law bent to serve it. Allegiance runs only to the well-connected and well-funded. Public concern and protection arrive as afterthoughts, if they arrive at all. A void at their feet distorts the flag.
Private Piggies (Legislative), mixed media, 2026. 39x30in
An ancient legislative behemoth walks through a landscape beneath a nuclear sun. Its headdress revealing the internal anatomy of how democratic influence is co-opted and digested by corporate lobby. Untouchable, unavailable, untethered from public concern, legislators calcify into the building itself — architecture consuming private dollars in exchange for loyalty to the corporate and billionaire class. Luxury materializes through an umbilical tie.
Financial (New Babel) — mixed media, 2026. 48x36in
After Bruegel’s Tower of Babel, rebuilt as billionaire capitalism caught inside the Calvinist capture loop. Winged billionaire-angels guard the structure from within a hellish landscape as John Calvin hovers above, blessing the excess and offering a sacrificial public lamb to a digestive Leviathan-Trump beast. Clergy move through the grounds blessing the structures; cabinet members manage and collude with the horror beneath.
Meta Jesus — mixed media, 2026. 30x42in
Rendered in the tradition of the tricephalous Christ — one skull, three fused faces, a triangle halo — this final painting names the mechanism running beneath the other four: market, man, and movement as a single organism wearing three expressions. No one face can be removed without the others continuing.
